This pack adds shine on ores to make them more visible, but not as not too bright as emissive.
Optifine not required.
If you play in 1.18.1 or 1.18.2+ then go to "shiny ores.zip/assets/minecraft/shaders/core/rendertype_solid.vsh" and change "0" on 3-th line to "1"(1.18.1) or "2"(1.18.2+). This thing fixes fog depending on version.
That pack can't be made in 1.16.5 and lower versions because of lack of core shaders that was added in 1.17 (snapshot 21w10a).
Please don't ask me about lower versions.
For pack developers: to make shiny pixel, you should set alpha (transparency) to 247 or 96.8%.
Wanted bugs.

Have you got a tutorial or anything that you created/follow?
"For pack developers: to make shiny pixel, you should set alpha (transparency) to 247 or 96.8%."
Basically take those textures on your photo/texture editor, and then alpha mask it so that the parts you want shiny are #f7f7f7 and the rest are #ffffff as usual.
I'd double check the texture in an image color picker that accepts alpha, so that it's 0.968, 96.8, or 247, since my photoshop is buggy.
If you put those textures for the blocks in a pack above this one, it should make these textures shiny. I hope this makes sense, and that's probably more likely since this pack is a usage of tool you can use. =]
This method also means you don't have to take every single individual colour on an existing texture and change its alpha each time, you can use one paint colour on the mask layer for all the parts you want shiny.
I hope this is understandable.
Translation:
Basically, you can take the original texture oh your photoshops or other photo/texture editor and make an alpha mask so that the shiny parts (colourful ores) are masked at #f7f7f7 and the rest (stone) is #ffffff as normal.
Double check in a color picker after that it works and the alpha (4th number) is 0.968, 96.8%, or 247. (I use https://colorpickerfromimage.com/ when I do weird shader alpha stuff like this, and it would show 0.968) I'd check because my photoshop bugs out frequently and makes it wrong.
If you put those textures in a pack and put that pack over this one, it should make those textures shiny. Hope this helps clear stuff up! =]
