just put the model in minecraft/models/item, you need a model for shield and shield_blocking

In the minecraft folder make a folder called items in there you wanna have a .json file that basically says that the shield should use the model you choose in the models>item folder. I have a pack called cookie shield, download that and you will see. On my pc I have the website url which helps you make that .json file for the items folder but I'm on phone rn. I will dm that to you once I'm on my pc.
