Introduction

I was thinking a little bit today, while editing a skin that I wanted to make another one but keep my progress as well. I ended up just switching to Chrome to do it (I mainly use Samsung Internet on mobile) instead. Then I got this ticket idea. This would be a box with 5 slots for saving/loading skins to PMCSkin3D, globally.

Implementation

How I think it should be done is there should be a menu under "File" that says "Save" (maybe rename "Save to File" to "Export" to avoid confusion).

This menu would bring up a box similar to the one you might see in the 'new skin' box (on mobile, the full screen gray/white background that's there instead of the box) with 5 boxes with darker colors than the background, and each one has a "Save" and "Load" button below the boxes (maybe rename "Save" and "Load" to "Save to Slot <slot number>" and "Load to Editor (or PMCSkin3D)" respectively).

The save button would save your current skin to the respected slot (maybe have a warning screen before saving if you're overwriting a skin), and the load button would close the window and change the currently editing skin to the one you just chose to load. (Once again, maybe have a warning screen before loading?)

Also; to avoid users intentionally clogging up the servers with skins, maybe delete the skin 30 days from saving it to the slot. You may also want to implement a system that makes you wait 5 minutes inbetween each save.


Note: I made this quickly in Pixilart, on my phone. that's why it looks horrible.

The text where it says "Sk in s" is where the skins would go. I also only showed 3 slots, you can just add 2 more below with the same design.

Tl;dr: Add a new menu which lets us save up to 5 skins, with some anti-spam measures in place.
