The PlanetMinecraft website changes when it can, and yes over the years the chat has seen a few design changes but what about the actual interface?
Is there the functionality to bring a little more Minecraft into the chat? For example:
To reply to a message /r or /reply To send a message /msg <name> <message>
Or something similar, as it's a bit of a pain to keep clicking about to get the button to change over to a person, and then to change it back to the Main hall that your in.
I personally think it would be a good idea to have /message too, especially in mobile chat I think it would be a bit easier than clicking around. Or even just /whisper
Personally I could see /msg being useful, but /r however not, as it could potentially send a message to someone it's not targeted to if that person messages you while typing.
I aggree, I think there should also be a staff chat. or something like /help and then when a staff member comes back, It tells them that someone needs help.
Chat isn't really meant for help, thats what PM's and Tickets are for.
