This is a bit of a strange idea, but I thought it could work well. At least on PC, what if we had desktop notifications?
If you don't know what I'm talking about, think the YouTube notifications. If you have notifications on for YouTube, then when someone you're subscribed to uploads, someone replies to your comment, etc., you will get a notification on your computer. PMC could give us the same type of notifications when you get likes/diamonds/favorites/emeralds, someone comments on your post, and other actions that would give a notification on the site.
I'm not sure how easy/hard this would be to implement, but I feel like it would make it a lot earier to tell if you have notifications, as I'd imagine these would be live.
true, & you'd be able to turn them off. I know that most Chrome notifications only come if Chrome is open; otherwise, you won't get any. I'm not sure how it works for other browsers but I'd imagine it's the same.
