On websites such as DeviantArt, there are methods in place to prevent theft of others artwork. On PMC, we all wish to have our original ideas be protected. We are similar to DA like that. Two creative communities that have steps in place to decrease theft of art.

Specifically, I will be talking about skins.

DA has a system that detects identical artworks and alerts the original uploader. PMC should implement something similar for skins. We see herobrine skins that are all identical, we see stolen skins that have been stolen by many different users—overall, we see people exploiting the creativity of others for their own gain.

Rather than endlessly reporting skins, it would be best to have a system in place to detect identical skin files. It should be foolproof against the area of the file that is not relevant to the skin.

I understand that this would be intensive to implement and would take much trial and error, but it would better our community.
