Hey guys it's Neneki (again) ! Today i want to rant about Over controlling parents. I know quite a lot of people have parents like this so I just wanted to talk about it.

Some parents are controlling because they care, while others are just insanely controlling for absolutely no reason! My step-father, for example, is the most controlling parent I've ever seen! I am not able to chat online, typing or talking, I am not allowed to have friends, I am not allowed to go anywhere if I DO have friends, and he checks my phone/computer EVERY day to see what I've been on! He has also looked over my shoulder plenty of times while I am on the computer/phone, and has even asked to see what I'm doing on them! Yes, I know he may be trying to look out for me such as keeping me protected from internet stalkers, but I'm almost 16! Sixteen is the age where you have to be social. You're supposed to develop social skills for when you get a job or you go to college. Speaking of jobs, I can't even get one!

If your parent is over controlling about you going out late at night or hanging with the wrong crowd, that's fine and that's what they're supposed to do. They are trying to keep you safe and alive which is perfectly understandable. Same thing with how long you're on your computer, or your phone, or your consoles because when you stare at a phone/computer/tv screen it has radiation that could possibly ruin your eyesight. Phones have caused cancer due to radiation even.

If your parent is over controlling like mine is, sit down with them and talk calmly. You need to tell them that it is YOUR life and YOU are the one that must live with the decisions you make, not them. Hopefully they will trust you to make the right decisions and the decisions that make YOU happy.

If you're like under 10, it's perfectly normal for your parents to want to know what you're doing on your technology devices because you're still young and should not be subjected to the horrors of the internet. If you're my age however, it's ridiculous.

What parents don't understand is that: We're growing up. We understand you will always see us as your little girl/boy, but there's a time in everyone's life where they can not be held in a cage. We must be able to spread our wings and leave the nest sooner or later. You will not be there for us all of our lives, so we need to learn how to be responsible for ourselves. It is up to US to make our own decisions, and it is US who must live with the decisions we make.

Hell, even some kids can't even get on Minecraft servers, which is completely understandable unless you're like 11+. My sister plays on Minecraft all the time, but she doesn't get asked 24/7 what she's doing on her computer. (Unlike me -_-)

Well, this is more of a shorter rant (I think) so I'm going to get off now. Hopefully some of you can relate to this, and can tell your parent if it is bothering you.
