Welcome to the 5th interview of Gru's News! For this week's interviewee, we have none other than Squidster491! He has been one of my partners for a few months (as of making this), and he has helped quite a lot with the map making!
How did you choose your username on PMC?
Squidster491: I swam like a squid in 6th grade, for water polo and came up with the name, “Squidster.” The 491, however, I came up with via not fixing the last few digits of my original Xbox account name, “Smotherlylake491” and one thing led to another and BOOM! My nickname, “Squidster491” was born!
ZappyGru: Cool! Your origin is much more interesting then mine lol.
What is your favorite submission that you're most proud of?
Squister941: The Bravoman skin I did.
ZappyGru: Woah, that looks great!
Recently you have been working with me to create some of my maps, anything to say to the audience about your experience?
Squidster491: It’s a blast coming up with design of the maps and working with you. Just don’t get on Zappy’s bad side.
ZappyGru: Haha lol, I get very angry when people don't listen.
Do you have any goals in mind in the future for PMC, Minecraft, or other stuff?
Mainly, I wanted to finish my line of Halo skins, and Maybe plan out a World Submission for The Gamerverse: The Quest of Tropes!
ZappyGru: Ooh, that sounds interesting!
What do you do on your free time when you're not playing Minecraft?
Squidster491: I usually will play Halo with Maxblazer21, I also will read, doodle, or play with Lego.
ZappyGru: Nice!
It seems that you have been working on your pixel art a lot, anything to say about that?
Squidster491: Yeah, it's an art style I like to work with. It's very time consuming but in the end it looks very cool.
ZappyGru: I 100% agree with you.
Are there any people that you got inspired by or look up to?
Squidster491: vonk, ZappyGru, Diving, and Puffballs United.
ZappyGru: Oh, you added me in? Haha, thanks!
What's your general style with submissions?
Mainly a Henry Stickman - JaidenAnimations art style crossbreed.
What kind of hobbies do you have?
Anime, collecting, building with Lego, doodling, coming up with designs, and a dash of animating.
