| Before we begin, tell the audience a bit about yourself. Well... I've been here for about a year, and am probably one of the biggest MC fans to not actually play at home. I am also in love with something called Pico-8, and my favorite accessories are bracelets. That's nice to hear, CrownDeluxe! Welcome to the show! The first set of questions are going to be revolving around who you are on PMC and what you do. |
| What do you usually upload on PMC? Well, it's pretty complicated. I consider myself a texture pack person, but have only uploaded four of those, and am not consistent. I'm getting more into player skins (shading yeah!), don't have as much time for mob ones anymore, and make blogs for whatever I want to put there that doesn't fit the other content types. Not sure if wall posts count as uploaded content, but I make those pretty regularly. They aren't as special and entertaining as some of others, but I find it nice. It’s great that you have a variety of submissions! I think it’s a sign that you have more than just one skill on PMC! |
| When you first joined the site, why did you choose the username, “CrownDeluxe”? CrownDeluxe is just a username I made for myself. I used to use temmyt45 or TIny Tem, but looked for something else and liked the word Deluxe, but to vary, changed it to Delux. I then thought it could be cool to also have Crown in the mix, and I put the two together, adding back the e. I've wanted to have a consistent username across different places, so it had to be something original and unique, crowndeluxe ended up working perfectly! That’s nice to hear! I like the name CrownDeluxe. |
| When you first joined the site, were there any inspirations that helped shape who you are today? I don't really remember doing anything or using my account much after I first had it. I got really into some texture packs, especially ones by Enchanted_Games. I would look and comment on those, and was also working on my own personal pack too (I haven't posted that, WIP). Last summer, though, I started getting on more and Scribblez01 really introduced me to the community, and it accumulated until I was as involved as now! |
| Out of this entire site, what is your favorite submission? It could be made by you, or from someone else, Oohh, picking one is pretty hard. I might just choose Astraliyte's Animated Item Textures, not necessarily because I think it's the best, but because seeing it on the trending reel (like 9 months ago) got me down the whole texture pack, and later PMC, road. What a great choice! |
| When you’re on PMC or online in general, how do you want people to see you? See me? Hmm, I'm generally my most open and myself when on PMC, so I really just let it flow and people can see me as however I come across. Something I've even been thinking about recently is how the same person can exhibit many different characteristics and personalities, so I do a lot of things in different ways. Sometimes I try to be kind and supportive, others with more focus on fun, humour, or whatever I really feel like. I generally contain my disappointment or wants, though. Don't wanna come off as annoying to people. |
| Are there any projects you are working on that you haven’t told the audience yet? I still have texture packs I haven't finished, but don't think I've not said anything. The big one coming out is a custom potion pack. Ooh, I’m interested in seeing that! |
| What is the number one mistake people make when they first meet you? Uh.. not subscribing? I don't really know or have any real experience, but people are fine to meet, just the other day I found katress's page, and they're really cool! My bigger issues come later (sometimes feeling a lil left out), but meeting people has been pretty splendid so far. Alright! That's good to hear! |
| For our last question of this section, would you like to give a few shout-outs to any good PMC friends? Everyone, hurry and go sub to Afap, as fast as you can! (they're severely underrated) If anyone reading this does want to see more though, I have a friends list on the profile page. I also think it could be really cool and funny if we got WhisperOfTheWild a huge level spam while she's away, coming back to tons of exp would be really precious. Okay! That wraps it up for the first part. The second section focuses more off the platform. |
| What kind of hobbies do you enjoy doing? I play lots of Pico-8 carts (especially Celeste mods), with my favorites folder having like 130 carts in it. I play the piano at home (currently working on Christmas Time by Vince Guaraldi), and cello with my school orchestra. If I got to, I would play MCC Island all day, maybe even make videos. I love to play outside, like biking, scooter-ing, and just kicking a ball around. I like jigsaw puzzles and board/card games. Cooking and baking canbe nice and fun if I'm not tired or busy. I love playing the piano too! It’s one of my favorite hobbies. |
| Are there any series or TV shows that you are interested in watching? I don't really get to watch television, but as a family we occasionally played things like Murder, She Wrote (one title btw), and Matlock (they're both kinda old). The Andy Griffith Show and Bluey are also favorites of mine, but the all time greatest show has to be Wallace and Gromit, absolute classic. Wonderful shows! Wallace and Gromit will always be one of my favorites. |
| Do you have any accounts outside of PMC? Ahm, I've made accounts on Skindex, Pico-8, Coolmath (lol I'm level 54), Prodigy math (from like 5th grade), used to be all about Animal Jam, and code.org, though I don't really use those. Oh, and don't forget my PBS kids account, gathering dust on some distant shelf. |
| Do you have any weaknesses that you want to improve upon? Well, there's a lot of procrastination (like right now writing this I have an English assignment due), and I often get bad sleep, which is, well, bad. I think that if I could become more independent and productive, I'd be able to get a lot of the things I want on my own, instead of just waiting for others, like my parents, to just pick me up and put me there. |
| Are there any past memories that you find to be enjoyable to tell to the audience? When I was like 3 or 4 and living in this little Minnesota apartment, my mom woke me up and showed me the hail outside. We got an umbrella, and it was pretty cool, definitely also a lot nicer since that was like 12 years ago by now. I got to go to Alaska with my dad during the 2019 summer, and I even got to step on a glacier there! Our family once visited this canyon in New Mexico a long time ago, and it isn't really well known, since it is only like a state park, but that place was absolutely amazing. That sounds really nice! I like traveling to different places like going to the mountains. |
| For the last question of the section, what kind of video game do you enjoy playing other than Minecraft? Lots of Celeste Classic (including mods), I used to do plenty of Coolmath (tiny square, idle blockout, blightborne, choppy orc, and table tanks), too, with plenty of random Pico-8 carts sprinkled in. I am a huge Undertale & Deltarune stan, despite never playing those. Ones I'm interested in for the future: A Hat in Time, Celeste (2018 not classic), Terraria, and more that I can't think of right now. Nice! The next section will be mainly quick and fun questions! |

| What is your favorite restaurant food? I love this one sandwich I got from a Kneader's, it was pesto chicken with some tomato on a piece of great country bread (I think it was focaccia maybe), and really the only memorable one I can think of, really. |
| What is your favorite quote that either you or someone else made? One that I made (not my fav but it's alright): ""Chaos is the best calm, change is the most normal, motion is the perfect standstill." Don't really know about those from others, I'm trying to think of some Bob Dylan quote, but I'll think that the top one would probably be something from Dylan Thomas's A Christmas in Wales. |
| We're now at the end of the show! Is there anything else you would like to say to the audience before we sign out? Sure! Make sure that on here, and everywhere really, make it about others. The best advice I ever got was when my grandpa told me to put others before myself, and I think that that can be applicable to most everything (except pvp). I often see people here growing, gaining subs and getting lots of attention, and think "Oh! I'd like that", but I find it's better to just be supportive and promote everyone else, and that ought to help you anyways, if you can garner enough karma, at least.
