A Mob that is a type of guard that would walk a primitar (sorry for for awful spelling) between 2 blocks you place (they will light up at night) thats just 1 mode for them. they will also be able to stand still outside your doors/entrance until a mob comes near... once they kill the mob the go back to their original position. unlike iron golems they just wander.
This is effect because you can know that your guards are outside and not wandering, and it looks cool

And anyways, this is a sandbox survival game, not "defend your fortress and fight the enemies with guns" you have to choose by yourself if you want to defend the village. I dont, i just make a wall around the village. And it isnt any guard towers in minecraft.
