Agar.io is a multiplayer, in-browser game about growing your cell to become the largest of them all. This guide will be based mostly around this browser plugin (agar extended 2). Why? Because most players will use this to gain an advantage over others.

The basics
First, you must pick a server/game type. These strats will apply to Free-For-All.
This is the screen you see when you visit the page (with the plugin):
undefined

Choose a reigion and nickname(optional). The Default Skin tab is for convienience. Even without the plugin, certain nicknames will give your cell a skin. When you connect to a server you will be given an IP/port. You can share this with friends so you can play together.

In the options, you can select if you want:
-No skins
-No names
-Dark Theme
-No colors
-Show mass
-Show borders
-Extended colors
-Mousewheel zoom
-75% Skin transparency
or the option to Spectate.

This is close to what it will look like when you spawn in:
undefined
I'll explain:

The red and yellow cells shown are other players. I'll get into colors later. The blue cell is you. The green dot in the top left corner is your starting food. These appear everywhere but because I was in a highly occupied area, they were all absorbed by the other cells. The large grey cell to the left is a virus. If a larger cell tries to absorb on of these it will split into a bunch of smaller cells that can easily be absorbed by other players. On the right is the leaderboard. These are the top 10 largest players on the
server.

Controls

Move with the mouse.
Scroll Wheel zooms in and out.

W to eject mass.
Space bar to split and shoot half your mass forward.
Esc to bring up the menu.
(Some players may try to trick you into pressing Alt+f4 or Ctrl+W. Don't. These close the tab.)

Colors and size

Colors determine the size of enemy players and how you stand up to them.

Light Green means you can split your cell and still be large enough to consume the player. (you are at least twice their size.)
Green means a player is able to eaten, but you have to run them over. (less than twice thier size but still larger.)
Yellow means the player is about your size and niether of you can absorb one another.
Orange means a player is larger than you, but has to run you over to absorb you. (less than twice as big as you, but still bigger than you.
Red means a player can split their mass and still absorb you. (more than twice as big as you.)

Strategies

You start off with a mass of 10. You need to eat green pellets to become larger. Avoid players that are red and outrun players that are orange. Try no to split too often. After splitting, you stay seperated from yourself for a short period. This makes you an easier target. After reaching about 100-200 mass, you can try 2 things:

1. Keep eating pellets and attempt to devour smaller players. Eventually you will become large enough that you can devour medium to large-sided players and start splitting every now and then. Keep near the edges and corners as this is most likely where you can corner smaller, faster players.

2. Sabotage the larger players. Ejecting mass into a virus will cause it to become larger and split, shooting part of itself in the direction you are firing mass into it. If you lure a large player close to a virus, you could try to split them into small pieces that can easily be stolen. If successful, you can absorb most of a player that is larger than you. Keep in mind this play is risky as a virus does not return mass, as you eject mass you become smaller and an easier target, and other players may steal the mass from the player you attacked.

Another method:

If you have a firend (or a second monitor), you can have them collect mass and feed it to you or just kamikaze into your cell.

When I played this, I was only at 400 mass, and a bunch of huge meanies were surrounding me, one of them split, i ate the split cell, grew, ate the guy that split, ate everyone arround me,*Uber chain reaction, all happened in under a second* and I got a mass of 3307 and was 2nd on the leader board, until i ran into one of the green spiky things. . .

Good tips by the way :)
