Many server owners run open door servers without whitelists with creative and a lot of them have been wrecked beyond belief. So I want to give people who own a server or who are thinking about owning one a good way to combat grief.

What we need:
Bukkit

Plugins:
MCBans: MCBans is a global banning solution logging players bans on other servers ready to give you a warning about players past. There are reputations which you can set so players with 9+ can join a server. Keeps a lot griefer's out. This can be harsh on players want to redeem themselves but we need to be careful. You can look up players history to see if they need watching.

LogBlock: Doe's what it says on the tin. Every block placed, destroyed, endermen block moving, water flowing, tnt explosions, creepers are all logged to rollback damage from griefers and those pesky mobs.

NoCheat/Anti-Cheat: This blocks most hacks. Flying mods, creative nukers, x-rays, spamming are commonly all blocked. Creative nukers are destructive and a block on them are good. Its very hard to over ride client side so its helpful to use to keep the hacks out.

Minebackup: Every few hours it will create copies of your worlds leaving you with how many backs up you like from days, weeks and even months. Re-upload a world after a bad accident and no problems.

Tips:
Make 2+ back ups. Even backups can fail from time to time. With me I have a backup on my server, PC, cloud and USB.

Whatever you do, don't let new players use WorldEdit! Never! If you have VoxelSniper, never allow that out to people you don't trust.
