~Aquatic + ( Ocean's Shall FLURISH!!)~ Made By : Nether Apprentice.
1. Introduction
2. Redefining the "Ocean Biome"
The "Ocean Biome" Probably the most boring Biome in all of Minecraft. There isn't that much to do in it. The only use I've had for it is for a underground base on a "Faction server." But the key to this post is to change all of that . By adding new stuff to the Biome to make it more interesting.
Here is some key features am going to improve to the "Ocean Biome"!
-Boat's ( Magic Boat's , Ender Boat's)
-New Mob's (Foe and Ally)
-New naturally spawned structures/ships/etc
-Danger's of the Ocean
-A new Boss monster
These features could improve Minecraft in many way's as the "Ocean Biome" is a very lonely Biome as it is of now and with these core features it could improve all of Minecraft for the better , it can also make spawning in the middle of an island in a "Ocean Biome" not so bad and can actually be quite lucky.
That's the basic summary of this entire entry , if you don't want to read through it all (AKA Lazy XD)
3. Boat's Overhaul
Phew . We've finally made it to the main post , and we can start really putting all the info out, also before you start reading to far in all the recipes for this will be mentioned in the Crafting Section.
Boat's have never been updated before , only for bug fixes, otherwise they haven't done anything with them. This suggestion could change all of that by adding new boat's with features that I tried my best to make simple , yet affective.
New boat's could help the "Ocean Biome" as there isn't much to travel with on the "Ocean Biome" this would make traveling in the Biome much easier and simpler also bring's a way to ride in lava when on a adventure in the nether.
New Boat types:
First of all to start there should be new type of boat's in this update.
Rowing Boat:
The rowing boat is the current one we have, there is no change with this.
Sail Boat:
The sail boat is a boat that goes 2x as fast as a normal boat, the sail on the boat will eventually run out of durability and break and turn back into a normal Row boat.
Durability of Sail: 45 (Going down 1 every min so it last's for around 45 minutes. BUT! If you crash, the durability goes down by 10 , this make's crashing in one of these dangerous.
This would be useful for traveling in the beginning of a Minecraft game.
Motor Boat's:
Motor boat's are the 2nd fastest boat type but they are also the most dangerous boat , these boat go 6x as fast as Rowboats but are very hard to control them. they run on : Blaze Rod's , Lava Bucket's , Coal/Charcoal ,log's,wooden planks
Danger's: These boat's can EXPLODE,Now how to prevent this is easy, when you click on the motor wich is located in the back. A GUI will appear, this GUI will say the heat level of the boat and fuel that you put in. When you add a coolant like water or ice the level of heat will go down.
Ender Boat:
Here is the best boat in the game , it's the most expensive , fastest boat , it can run 2x Faster than an Motor Boat , and doesn't take any fuel at all to run, But requires materials from the End and the Nether wich can make it very difficult to build.
Iron Boat:
A little slower than a normal boat, but can go on lava in the Nether , this can be useful for traveling in the Nether a little bit easier, but still requires a blaze powder from the nether to build.
Magic Boat:
The Magic boat is a boat that can teleport when you right click in the boat of a distance of 3 blocks this has a cool down of 5 seconds it can also go 2x faster than a rowboat.
4. Underwater Foe's and Allies!
The Ocean Biome is a lonely place with no life , this section of the submission will add life to the ocean with this added to the game , the Ocean Biome won't be so lonely , it would be quite the opposite of lonely.

Allies:
Dolphin's:
Dolphin's are one of the only tameable mob's of the ocean biome
They can be tamed with any type of meat and are as rare to spawn as Wolf's.
Also they can be breaded with meat. If attacked while untamed , will fight back.They can also
counter shark's
HP: 15 (Untamed) 18 (Tamed)
Attack: 1.5-2.5 (Tamed) 2-2.5 (Untamed)
Special ability: Make shark's flee
Dolphin's would look like this (Not exact!)
DolphinsSea Turtle:
Sea turtles are an ally mob and they don't fight back when attacked, sea turtles drop a "Turtle Shell" When killed, these turtle shell's can be used as armor and defend's 3.5 shields
HP: 13
Attack: 0
These turtles would give life to the currently lonely Ocean Biome and would give good armor protection but you cannot enchant it.
Sea turtles would look like the one's from Mo'Creatures (Almost the same design)
Sea TurtlesWhales:
Whales are a very peaceful sea creatures but if attacked they will fight back!
HP: 20
Attack: 2-3
Foe's
Sharks:
Well I think all of you saw this one coming, Shark's are one of the most dangerous mob's on the sea they can truly be scared from you if you have a tamed dolphin.
HP: 30
Attack: 4-6
Frilled Shark:
The most dangerous type of shark , these shark's will tear you appart and are the most dangerous foe of them all. They can drop frilled shark head's
HP: 30
Attack: 6-7
Piraelton:
These are little skeleton dressed up in a pirate costume that will shoot arrow's at you.
HP: 10
Attack: 1-3
Retawssob (Boss):
Retawssob is the ocean biome's boss to create them you need to do this
Retawssob ConstructionOnce done it will spawn the boss
HP: 100
Attack: 2-4 Attacks you with his tail.
Special: Make's you get nausea for 15 seconds
Drops: Diamonds,Music Disks, Etc (Coming up with a special Drop)
5. Naturally Spawned Structures/Ships/Etc
This is most likely my favourite part of this submission is adding naturally spawned thing's to the ocean biome, this will make it MUCH more entertaining and make Minecraft much more fun and entertaining.
Abandoned Ship:
An abandoned ship can be found at the bottom of an ocean , this ship will carry many treasures and even a new sword that can be acquired. These ship's are as rare as Dungeon's but there's a limit to 4 per world , these ship's will be nicely sized and can be very difficult to navigate with out the proper gear

Treasures that can be found:
Diamonds
Gold
Emeralds
Iron
Armoury
Weaponry
Music Disks
Pirate sword: It's a special skeleton sword that does as much as a diamond sword , but has a nicer look and better durability (Can't be enchanted but can be repaired and renamed on a anvil)
Pirate Ship's
Pirate ship's are quite the opposite of a abandoned ship , you can call them dungeon's above ground.
Pirate ship's have Dead-Pirate spawner's on them , like a dungeon spawner they have a treasure chest with different sort of item's like diamonds,gold,iron,emeralds and even music disk's these ship's will be well worth it and could be a nice home as well if conquered.
Tropical Island's
Instead of having plain old island's in the ocean there should be tropical island's , these island's are pretty much mini jungles on the ocean.
Nothing much to say , it was really self explanatory.
6. Dangers of the Ocean
The Ocean Biome , isn't always relaxing place to be , there's many danger's you'll have to go through to conquer it.
Tempest's:
The tempest is a storm that happen's only in the ocean Biome, What happen's is the sky goes completely black and a rain storm happen's after thunder will hit like crazy , these will try to attack your boat, especially when you have an Iron or Sail boat , these thing's are very dangerous , also add an extra danger for sail boat's, That danger is that the tempest contain's heavy wind's that push sail boat's in weird/random direction's.
