I'm writing this article at April 22, 2015 at 12:43 AM on a school night because I really had been longing to write about this topic. The human lifespan doesn't last forever and what we do in the present affects our future. If we invest hard work and begin to pursue our dreams earlier, it will give us a better chance. As I'm in my senior year of high school and going to college, I realize that I'm getting older day by day faster than ever. Before I know it, I'd wasted all my time.
I'm a super procrastinater, completing papers at 2AM and starting homework at 10PM. But I love Planet Minecraft to the point that I'm addicted to checking on notifications when I wake up and after school. By completing projects and recieving diamonds, feedbacks, and leveling up, it gives me pleasure to be rewarded for my work. I work hard and long on my projects that I am passionate about. However, I look back and realize that already 3+ years passed since I uploaded my first project the Rising Dawn Aircraft Carrier in December 2011.
I'm afraid that I've invested so much in Planet Minecraft rather than other things I could've done with that time. I think about how all this work on PMC won't really help me in my life. I won't be a famous PlanetMinecrafter, there are far far more successful people in the field. I'm level 55 right now and there's like people in the 90s with literally 100,000s of views and 1000 diamonds on a single work. What am I?
How is playing Minecraft going to help me with my life? None of my friends even regularly play Minecraft. PMC will have little impact on my future. These people barely know me or remember me. I'd just be another faceless user. I have other passions that I want to do, but don't do. Sometimes I feel like I have no time for ANYTHING. But in reality we have all the time we need, you are just wasting it here and there on menial things. It's not just Planet Minecraft, it's watching Youtube videos, the news, and tv. Even using the computer is a waste of time, can you go for even a day without touching a computer or a phone.
What I want to Pursue:
Well I would like to learn how to play guitar because I'd like to pratice playing an instrument and create my own music. I also want to learn how to animate using Adobe Flash to make Youtube videos, I have done a little bit before. Also I would like to learn Japanese, the mother language and the culture. I would like to learn how to do a handstand and get six pack abs. I would also like to spend more time with my friends and make better ones.
So Am I Staying on Planet Minecraft?
I'm not sure at the moment. It's hard to leave something, you've spend so much time on, but it could be necessary. I still have some projects that need to be updated. But definetly I'll be spending less time on here than before and work on real life skills.
Thank you to those who commented and diamonded.

This may sound wierd, but basically everything your pursuing is what im pursueing right now, and, I understand what you mean about PMC, if you were going to pursue this as a career, it would be a major expedition and you'd be literally logging on hours and hours at a time, but as a past time, and as after school stuff (when your not studying and doing exams) its nice to get appreciated for your work, and to see what other people do. I mainly go on to look at art blogs, because its nice to see people taking there time out just to post a few pics, even if theyre on the down side in drawing. (but most ive seen are pretty good)
anyway, im t alking way to much.
THIS BLOG IS FANTASTIC! IVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT PLANETMINECRAFT LIKE THIS BEFORE, ITS HARD TO THINK ABOUT, NICE BLOG BTW! :)
Enjoy everthing, and I hope you'll be happy with every dessicion you make.
Sry if my English is bad, I am German and 13
The things you do when your on PMC isn't always "A waste of your time". But it's mostly up to yourself HOW you want to spend your time on PMC.
Example: I spend a Lot of time giving posetive response to other users. What have I gained through that? Well an example is that I've got a LOTS of new Online-Friends that I can play with, and some of them have actually become close friends.
So overall: PlanetMineCraft is a Community. This isn't a place where you get Famous (That's called YouTube). This is a place where you have to make your Own decisions. You may not be the most creative person in the world, and you may think you suck at everything.
But this is a Community. You just have to be a part of it, before it'll be seen as it not being "A waste of time"
I hope this got you thinking a bit happier. Have a Nice day, and take my Diamond Cookie :)
1) Water, Food, Shelter, Oxygen, and Sleep - The basics of human life
2) Edjucation, school, and learning new things - The basics of getting a job.
3) Friends, people to talk with, support, and entertainment (Games you play with friends is under this category) - The basics of not getting any mental problems (This makes you able to Live without being depressed, stressed, or feeling like ending your life. )
Overall: Online Friends can make a HUGE difference in Your life. They are the once who will keep you away from depression, and other socail disorders.
That's why taking part of a game, talking with friends online, and/or taking part of a community (PlanetMineCraft) is, and Will always be importen for human kind.
Anyway, I hope you have a great day/night where ever you are sir :)
