Hooray! I knew that when my waterfall had finished, I wanted a house right next to it. After a couple days, and long indecisiveness, I finally decided to make a house out of brick. I actually also came up with a neat idea of putting wool out the outside corners of the house. I definitely wanted to make this house a place I could go to for all my Minecraft desires and needs.

My sand house was in the middle of the water, and my tree house was in the middle of the air. This is definitely more comfortable! :) And much roomier to do random things around it.

Getting the brick was something I had to go about doing before I even started really building it. I realized how much clay I needed and almost shat myself, because I knew no clay spawns were anywhere except in one spot in my explored world....and I took that clay out already. So I set off, into the great wide open ocean. I did not see land for a while, and I was distracted at all the sugar cane near the shore. I also wanted to explore some islands for a couple minutes. However, dark approached, and I had to wait it out because I was scurrd. Eventually, I found a big-ass clay deposit, and considered the area MINE'D.

I was very happy and surprised on how much I was able to get :)

Also with this house, brings my first real attempt at making a farm! More of a learning edge than I thought, making it a very cool feature. Whenever I walk on them too much, my crops have gone to waste! I spent a lot of time making a nice layout for irrigation, and in the end, tried not to make it look too watery. Will probably spend more time on the layout though. I also heard that animals can ruin your farms if they stepped on it too much. This lead me to having a stare-down with a cow that went into my garden, splashing around in the water inside. Animal damage has been rare or non-existent though so far :) I am less worried about monsters at night ruining my crops, because I can get revenge on them and feel less horrible about it.

The brick added a nicer touch to the house than I thought. When I played Minecraft classic, I hated brick, and swore to never use it for anything. But in the real game, it had a sort of comforting tone to it. The wood roof really added a nice touch as well. Even though something seems a teeny bit off, but I will fix that later (maybe add some torches to the wood part of the roof).
Anyway, I will stop talking and show you pics! It turned out really nice to my liking, and I am happy I will be able to do so much with it later :)

(That was actually a retake, since it was raining when I decided to take pics lol)

Here's a view from the back (I am still wondering what to do to make it look less awkward in the back, any suggestions holler!):

That's it! Things I have to CRITCIZE myself on:
1.) The entire back side seems like something is really missing. I may add something neat there or another wood pile :)
2.) The yellow wool things hanging off the sides. I think I'm pretty content with them and they won't bother me for a very long time. But it seems like I could do something else with them. I had them and it seemed like a neat use :) I'm definitely happier with the yellow wool hanging than nothing at all
3.) The farm is strangely laid out. I think I will play with different arrangements as time goes on, and look into how to do Sugarcane. I will also make a pathway to the farm from my house.
4.) And the wood roof feels like something could be added to it on the front in some way.

Now...THE INSIDE!!:

The left is my favorite painting in the game...the "Wanderer". The Karate guys painting just seemed right.

I think I will be working on the insides a lot, things like:
1.) Adding a wood floor
2.) Playing with layouts/adding extra stuff/bookshelves/etc
3.) I am also DEFINITELY planning on making a staircase that goes down to a lower level or two, where I may have a workshop, or lava storage, or something like that :) Maybe even other secret goodies will await ;D

Building this house in the beginning was hilarious, because every night, I was frustrated on why a monster kept waking me up whenever I tried to sleep. I read Minecraft wiki many times on what the heck to do. I tried many things, but still didn't get it, and just simply moved my bed. I haven't moved it back since, but I like my new spot for shizzle.

*****WHAT'S NEXT?!/1*****
NEXT project on my list (besides improving upon my new house) will be to make a dreamy, nice bridge that goes across the lake. Perhaps a sort of lakewarf/dock as well on the side. Here's a view of where I want the bridge:

I am hoping to make this somewhat of my mainbase now. Here I will be able to do just about anything! I am very excited, and can't wait to keep building! :) In the long run, I hope this to be just one of the many houses in the area, and on the hill behind it, as you might have seen in my WORLD PLANS, I am hoping to add a castle to crown it a kingdom.

As always...Any criticism or suggestions are WELCOME!! :)
I will probably not be on as much, because Spring Break is coming to an end and I must focus my work. But I will still be playing casually and updating this blog every couple of days, or every time I play Minecraft. Goodnight everybody!

Farewell again 'till next time,
