Hello! I am here to show you how to properly run your Bukkit Minecraft Server
- After you have your Minecraft Server Setup, Go into the Folder and Open up the server.properties file
- After you do that customize it until you are satisfied with what you have
- Then save the file
- After you are done with that you want to get some plugins. I recommend Essentials and Group Manger
- Those plugins give you the basic commands, and a permissions system. Also on YouTube there is a wide selection of instructional videos for both of them
- Next you have to gather some of your friends or go on a community like PMC and gather a few builders.
- Have those builders and you create a fun and original spawn for your server. Depending on the type of server you want the spawn type may be different
- Once you are done with your spawn you must create groups. Group Manager already has some groups created by default, but you are going to have to create and edit some also.
- Using GroupManager you type /mangadd to add a group.
- Make sure this group isn't your default rank. There already is a default rank and you do not want to make another.
- Once you have your rank you are going to need to add permission to the rank. Permission nodes can usually be found on the website you found the plugin.
- To add a permission node do /mangaddp man being manager g meaning group add meaning well add and p meaning permission
- Now you have your basic groups, but on all the other servers they have cool names? What you have to do is give your groups prefixes
- Use the /mangaddv E.G. /mangaddv default prefix [Ninja]
