Hello Fellow PMCers. It has been an extremely long time since I have posted anything on planet minecraft and thats pretty much because I lost my edge. I used to build and do cool minecrafty things but I kinda forgot how. Anyway enough about my loss of skill and more about a ground breaking game with the name CASTLE STORY

As you may already be able to see, its about islands. However they are no normal islands....they are floating islands with magical magicalyness. The game is basically an RTS version of minecraft. You may think "oooh. how ground breaking (sarcasm)" well this is where the fun part come in. It has smooth terrain :O *gasp*

YES! Look at that view. I know your starting to see the true excellence of this game. You can see the dynamic landscape. The rolling hills/mountains. The trees that look like they have been touched by the hand of Chuck Norris. If you look closely you can see shadows :O *gasp 2*. Yes, it has shadows. This game has all the qualities of a good sandbox game + more. Now lets move on too some focused key aspects of the game. First the character.

The main characters of this game are little yellow fellas called bricktrons. These minions are at your disposal. They will do as you ask them too. They will Build where you tell them too and they will even take their own lives at the click of a button (in a catapult aimed towards a gap in the islands of course). The bricktrons come in thee different forms.

THE WORKER

This guy will do all of the hard work. He builds, he mines and he gathers.

THE ARCHER/RANGER (LEFT) + THE WARRIOR (RIGHT)

The archers do a basic 1 hit kill from a distance. The higher the archer is placed the further and less accurate the shot becomes. Then the warrior. He does all of the close combat. Fighting of the bad guys 1 by one.

The game isn't full of only good guys, oh no no no. That would be stupid. There are also these bad creatures called corruptrons. They are a more primitive evil version of the bricktron.


The building in this game uses a sort of ghost/phantom block system. You tell them the blueprints and they make it. Its pretty fun simple and easy + a great new concept.

So now you can see why I posted this post. Its pretty awesome for an indie game developed by only small team. I think the minecraft community would like this very much.
