I think that the spider and zombie pick up steve and throw him in the lava. Somehow steve lives and takes on the role of herobrine. Haunting them forever and ever. They try to escape this madness but fail everytime! The way he escaped the lava was from climbing the ladder and finally mining out the one peice of iron with the pick!
