The flames roared, searing heat coming ever-closer to Whisper and her mare, Foxglove. All because of a ghast and oak planks. The nether portal was behind them yet, Whisper didn't have enough flint to light the portal with. Just as she was about to accept her end and walk into the golden-red flames, Whisper heard the click of flint and steel lighting something. She whipped around to see the portal lit, but with no trace of anyone lighting it. Whisper snatched up the coils of rope that lay on the netherrack. Leaping onto foxglove's back, she urged the bay mare into a gallop aiming for the mesmerizing indigo and black portal. Whisper and Foxy didn't hesitate when they entered the portal as fox was strong and whisper knew it wouldn't be raining.

As the two materialized in the other side of the portal, the sun had began to rise and the forest began to look brighter and brighter until it was possible to see.

"Come on Foxy, if we hurry we'll be home before midday!" Urged Whisper. But Foxglove wouldn't move. Whisper kept trying when suddenly Fox swirled around and began to canter into an unknown part of the forest. "Fox! Please! What has gotten into you!" Cried Whisper. But it was no use, Fox wasn't going to stop for anyone.

As Foxlove travelled further and further from the path, Whisper began getting more and more worried. Dark storm clouds had began to gather and the wind was getting stronger, the perfect things to show that it was about to rain. Soon Whisper's thoughts were interrupted by Fox slowing to a steady trot. Glancing at the dark, cloud-filled sky Whisper stopped Foxy under an oak tree and tightened the stirrups so they were racing length. She loosened the reigns and let Foxy lead the way.

Soon the grass faded to a sandy path and the wind became stronger and stronger. A few moments passed and they entered a clearing that lead to a plains biome. It seemed terraformed in some places, beautiful azalea trees dotted the horizon and lily of the valleys grew under and around them. the path lead on to what seemed to be someone's house. It was made of dark oak wood items and deepslate bricks and stairs. a paddock with a light-grey dappled mare stood in it which was connected to the side of the house. A few chickens were roosting in a pen knowing that terrible weather was coming and four sheep were cowering in a corner of a shelter in a paddock next to the horse's paddock. Whisper looked around the house to see if there was a way in, but soon it seemed that she would have to use the door and talk to a human or even a human-ender being.

As it started to rain Whisper gripped onto Foxglove's halter, walked up the spruce stairs and hesitantly knocked on the door. She heard the creak of floorboards and the door opened.

"Who are you?" Asked the girl who stood before her. The girl had hair that was half black that faded to midnight blue and the other half was lavender-purple that desaturated at the tips. Her skin-tone was half dark like a normal enderman's and tan on the other side. "The girl must be half enderman" Whisper thought. One of her eyes was midnight-blue and the other was an icy, periwinkle shade. she wore a black hoodie with a dark, misty-purple moon on the back and two stripes on the outsides of her sleeves. Her eyes had a fierce but kind look about them and her face had a neutral, bold but worried look about it.

"Umm, my name's Whisper." Whisper said worriedly and shyly.

"What are you doing here? I haven't seen anyone but Trotelot and the others from the village since the incident two years ago." The girl exclaimed, her eyes becoming sharp like diamonds as Whisper knew she wanted answers.

"Well, my horse Foxglove decided that we should go this way, and in the end so did I!" Whisper said, becoming a bit calmer the more she spoke. They talked for a few minutes before Whisper squealed and leapt on the porch as it began to rain.

"You can't touch water either can you?" The girl laughed. "And you may stay with me for the night, put Foxglove in with my horse, Fortune."

"Th-thank you." Whisper stammered, surprised.

Oh! My name's Shadow by the way. Shadow said before whisper jogged down the front stairs as the rain held out, she lead Foxy into the paddock before rushing back into the house so she wouldn't get caught in the rain.

"Again, thank you so much! I would've been caught in the rain if it weren't for you being here!" Whisper said before leaping into her new friends arms for a warm embrace.
