Machinima...
At this point everyone should know what a Machinima is. It's a gameplay video with narrative taking place rather than actual gameplay. Usually this is just ripped models from a game thrown into source filmmaker with quirky sound effects etc. The thing that can make or break a Machinima is not only the design and story put together, but also how it is presented. When using Source Filmmaker or other video creating tools based with 3D modeling you tend to have a lot camera control You can make the camera bend, swerve, or even pan to specific areas. Sadly there is no way to do this in Minecraft without the use of mods. My idea would be to add various video creation tools for Youtubers and other video creators alike to better make videos within Minecraft without the need for mods.
So why?
Now I know some of you are asking "Why?". Why does Minecraft need video creation tools? Well, right now the usual video consists of a camera placed in one position per scene while characters run around and do stuff. Sadly this can get stale or boring quite quickly. And I will admit that downloading and installing mods is far easier now a-days it still requires you to go out of your way to make a good video.
What would it do?
The main idea is to add a GUI that could be opened by pressing a hotkey. This GUI would contain buttons, sliders, etc. Various settings to create pre-determined paths for your character to follow on it's own so you don't have to control it. For example, Waypoints could be set to set up a path. You should also be able to set the camera direction for each waypoint. You should allow it to snap to positions/angles or if it should pan. You should also be able to change the weight of the pan allowing for a slow start and a fast end or the inverse if you wanted. Of course there should also be a speed setting allowing you to input a time in seconds for the pan to take place over. For example a 10 second pan from waypoint 1 -> 2.
Built in Recorder?
That's right! One of the things that Minecraft could best benefit from would be a built in way to record videos. We already have streaming integration, so why not add built in recording support. Not only would it be a way to give people a chance to start Youtube channels more often and easier, but it would also provide a way for Machinima creators and the like to quickly get some Minecraft recordings right away!
Record your own Character in Third Person!
Another way to implement recording could be to set various camera settings to record from that do not change the way you see ingame. Instead of having to change your own view port there is a separate recording view port for your recording! Although this idea is not as good as the rest due to issues related to the recording player smashing the camera into the wall and giving you a closeup on his hair as he runs down a mine-shaft... I mean... ON TO THE NEXT ONE!
Camera Item..?
Camera related items already exist in the Education Edition of Minecraft, but those cameras only take 'Pictures'. Would it not be better to right click on a camera and have it record what it sees for a set duration of time? This would be wonderful for working on time lapses when only owning one Minecraft account. Not to mention the unique recording locations you might be able to set up.
Time Lapses!
Time Lapses are an amazing way to record building or destroying certain things in Minecraft. Youtubers constantly use them to showcase something that could have taken a very long time, but shortening it to something bitesized and easy to watch. This is where some of the most important features would fall under. Such as a frames per second counter. Of course their should also be a weight system added to this too. Imagine a Waypoint from A to B. The pan starts slowly and you see people darting around, but as it gets closer and closet to it's target the people start to slow down, and by the time it reaches the Waypoint you are back to normal speed! Small things like this would be amazing. Devoted Youtubers could even set the recorder to pan to the beat of their music playing in the background. Special effects would also be something amazing to add, but I doubt I can get away with begging for so many features and more.
Other Ideas:
Below are listed some more ideas that I had. Of course I could only choose one, so I went with what could be a extremely useful addition to not only video recorders, but also starter youtubers and more.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you can agree on me with my reasoning for adding this to minecraft and how it could benefit the game. If you agree please diamond this post. <3

- Minecart Track with adjustable speeds.
- UI Options to display keypresses to debunk people blaming autoclickers.
- Way to modify Minecraft UI by dragging elements around to where you like them.
- Ability to edit/create texture packs in the Launcher.(Ability to edit/create skins in the Launcher.)
- Top Visited Server List (For Launcher)
- Minecraft Support that actually helps you get your Windows 10 key that was stolen from you and not complaining about how Microsoft handles keys even though Microsoft just sends me right back to ask once more... (Sorry, I have some pent up rage.)
- For the love of god I wish they added a way to check if a player had certain items and if so how many they had rather than just removing it from their inventory and adding it back...

Nevertheless a well written piece of solid competition!
I really like your ideas, but I feel like it's not something is going to be used by majority of the players (rather by a small minority of the player base), so keeping it a separate package is a much better idea.
Overall, you basically speaking about ReplayMod or my mods (Blockbuster, Metamorph, Aperture) + Minema. They allow you to make machinimas or timelapses.
Your idea is not bad, but I feel like Redstone has already provided the feeling of electricity in Minecraft with being able to power lamps and all that fancy stuff. Of course that's just my personal belief. There is still many areas where Redstone lacks the ability to be called Electricity, but I am fine with just one power source xD
