Introduction

Hello! I was just playing minecraft, waiting for some iron ore to cook when i got a good idea. I thought there should be an enchantment called "cook" In the picture above it shows what that enchantment would look like. I think the enchantment would cook anything that you mine that can be smelted. For example, when you mine sand, it will give you glass and when you mine iron ore, it will give you an iron ingot!


How It would work

The enchant would:


Turn sand into glass when mined.
Turn clay into bricks when mined.
Turn Wood into charcoal when mined.
Turn iron ore into iron ingots when mined.
Turn gold ore into gold ingots when mined.
Turn cobblestone into smooth stone when mined.


Turn cactus into cactus dye when mined.


Drop steak from a cow when killed instead of raw beef.


Drop cooked porkchops from a pig when killed instead of raw porkchop.

Drop cooked chicken from a chicken when killed instead of raw chicken.



The enchant would only be available on tools (So it would be a tool enchant) You would need to enchant at level 20 + to have a chance of having that enchant on your tool. One thing it can't do is to use with silk touch because they would interfere.


How it would be helpful

I think it would be helpful in surivival so you dont have to wait 20 minutes cooking something with coal! If you wanted to make some glass for a window, you don't have to spend time on getting sand, getting coal, then finally waiting for the coal to cook the sand. Instead all you have to do is mine the sand with your enchanted tool with cook and BOOM you get yourself some glass blocks!
