Well first of all in minecraft theres alot of stuff you can do, such as record your own gameplay, record a friends gameplay, hang out, cheat, fly, BUILD, prank, and more, But what you shouldn't do. Is grief. Griefing is a art,of course, but it's annoying, now i'm not saying if you're a griefer you need to stop griefing I'm just saying griefing is a don't, now a do, is help people moderate their server, be there for them if they need help with the server. Another don't, is world edit abuse on bukkit servers, have you ever seen videos where people think it's funny to turn the whole server to sponge? Well, that's exactly what happens, heres how it starts. A random guy joins, says he is from planetminecraft.com, get's OP destroys the server, and crashes it. Another scenario is this,guy joins "I have creative" and the admin does /gm <playername> and changes him to creative, in this scenario the guy could spawn lava,water,bedrock and another annoying blocks all over the map, that's a don't!
