Hey everyone,
Today I'm going to talk in depth about hackers, because despite what they might think, it's not cool, it's not funny and it isn't as smart as it seems. I am also going to explain my story, which is one of the reasons I made this blog. However, I will be looking at some hackers who are right, talking about the hacker group anonymous.

Click a spoiler to view that section.

Hackers 'cause they're totally cool right?!'

Hackers are not cool, if you're a hacker, then leave right now. Hackers use coding or programs to hack the internet and other computers, usually with the intention of gaining money. The definition of a hacker is:
A person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access to data.
Unauthorized? That means it's illegal to hack. So are they 'like some cool man tings who live dere lives like badman gangsters'? Again, no. Hackers are in many cases people who are really nerdy, but anyone can be called a 'hacker'. I will explain this in the next paragraph.

Hackers - many aren't really hackers.
When you call someone a hacker, it suggests that they have talent or skill with coding, like the other definition for a hacker, which explains that a hacker is someone who is skilled or enthusiastic with computers. The problem is, all some moron has to do is type 'minecraft hacks' into Google and then they can download a bunch of hacks, and spend their pathetic excuse for a childhood ruining other's lives. They don't even need computing skills - you heard me, because lots of console hackers just download the hacks, and transfer them to their console using a USB.

Why do people hack?
Hacking is commonly used to make money easily, but with the risk of being sent to jail. Some companies actually hire people who have hacked them to improve their security networks. However in this case, the hackers we're talking about hack games - so why do they do this? The do this for their entertainment. Making other people unhappy, and then laughing at their misery. In other words, trolling but taken to a whole new level. I sometimes wonder how people can actually do this without feeling guilty, I mean, you team-kill on a game like Battlefield 3? That's OK, yes it's trolling but it's not that bad. Ruining months - maybe even years or work, and giving the reason as 'because it was funny' - that isn't funny. That's evil.

Other reasons people hack games.
The other reason people hack, and the reason why many are hated, is because of the simple fact that most hackers suck at gaming. They can't win, so they hack and make other people lose - but are they really winners? What happens when they look back at their childhood and see how low they were? If you're like me, and you don't hack, even if you are bad at gaming just remember, you're still better than a hacker - and you still have your dignity.

My story

This story took place on the 27th of July 2013, and yes it's true.

I was on a server, and there was this guy called CNOT3 asking about what would happen if his friend uses any hacks on the server... I was messaging him trying to figure out what his friends IGN was so I could tell the server owner - who I knew. He said his friend had very bad hacks, in his words, 'worse than nodus'. I messaged a server Mod telling him that this guy could be talking about himself, wondering if he'd get banned for hacking or not. As this conversation took place, I was looking around the area my factions base was in, and because there was a couple of zombies nearby, I climbed up a tree, and began typing. It was here, that halfway through my conversation I was set on fire. I looked around for a reason as to why I was set on fire - but I couldn't see why, so I jumped into the water at my farm and teleported to spawn, so whoever did that couldn't get me. I've seen admins on this server messing around before [nothing too bad though] so I just thought it was an admin. Then I messaged the hacker this:
"Has your friend been on this server before? I may know him." Of course I was just trying to figure out who his friend was so I could inform the owner.

Then cake appeared everywhere around me at spawn and before my screen froze the last thing I saw was a Mod saying 'Hman the console says this was you...' I lagged out, and couldn't say anything in my defence.

So now it looks like I hacked the server, and it's a good thing I told the owner about this, because if I was new to the server then they'd probably think it was me and I'd get banned.

I'm a hacker what should I do?

Change your ways. If you can get away with people not knowing you are a hacker, then you can leave hacking behind you, and keep your dignity. If people already know you're a hacker then you should still get rid of your hacks, but make a big deal of it, so people know you're not a hacker anymore. If you're reading this and laughing at how you won't take any of this advice - just remember, you are ruining other peoples lives - this, this is what you do for fun. You could also ignore this, and carry on hacking. Just remember that you can keep changing the subject, you can keep hacking to escape the reality of your last hack, but one day you will think of those you hacked. You will remember the mean things you did - and you will regret it.

Anonymous
Not all hackers are evil. The hacker group known as Anonymous hacks what they think is wrong, in a series of pranks, cyber attacks and DDos attacks. Some call them the 'digital Robin Hoods'. This group stands up to corporations and religious that get away with things they shouldn't, like a church that tried to visit the victims of the sandy hook shooting's funerals with signs that said horrible things about homosexuals. Anonymous took down their website, and exposed the people who did this.

Hacking and Modding - there's a difference.
Modding is simply modifying the game, like hacking it can also be abused, but it doesn't work very well on servers. Modding is a fun experience, and people who can Mod are very skilled at what they do. I'm not a modder myself, but I know that coding is hard. However, there are mods that do a similar thing to hacking. Modded controllers, for example, allow players of games to repeatedly click a button at an unnatural speed, allowing slow weapons like snipers to preform like machine guns. Of course this is pretty obvious when it happens, and most people who use modded controllers are caught and banned from games.

So, lets think of what hacking does morally.

Enter Spoiler Text here. I'm about to show you a video, it's taken from the hackers point of view:

The hackers in this video made it out that they were right because apparently these guys were pretending the Shadow of Israphel was their idea. But the description doesn't say 'claim' it says 'pretend'... So wait - these guys just made a replica for them to play on and these guys destroyed it? Oh, and I'd like to confirm these server owners were just 8 years old. So is this morally right? These hackers have destroyed the server, and feel no guilt whatsoever.

So what is your opinion about hacking now? Do you know someone who hacks? Did this blog stop you from hacking? Comment below!

A diamond would be appreciated.
