Fire In the Night
I wonder if Adam felt this way,
In the world's first cold night
When darkness enveloped the world.
I can't find any kinder light.
I hear fire burst, rage in the night,
But I am incased in ink.
How can it be so black?
How can it be so cold?
I can feel the flames
Dancing on my fingertips,
Why can't I feel the pain?
Why can't I feel anything?

Hope is existant.
