As you slowly regain conciousness, your vision is slightly blurry, and you can tell that wherever you are, it's dark. The first thing to hit your senses is something quite peculiar.
Heat.
Is something burning? Where is it coming from? As you struggle to figure out what's happening around you, a inhuman screech tears through the silence, and echos throughout the area. The sound immediatly awakes you, making you instinctivly draw your sword and, although your legs protest, you stand shakily. Where ever that came from, it sounded like it came from a distance.
And suddenly, you find yourself flying through the air, nearly landing over the edge of a cliff nearby, and into, horrifyingly, a seemingly endless stretch of lava. You look ahead to where you where standing, a crater all that was remaining. You curse under your breath, the pain that was now shooting through your back not helping the situation you were in.
"What is this place?"
You don't ask anyone or anything in particular. You were used to asking yourself questions you usually had answers to quickly. But not this time. This was a whole new playing field. And a very weird looking one, at that.
Dark, rough looking terrian surrounds you in every direction, not a soul in sight. Patches of fire are scattered about, though as much as your concious tells you to put it out, it might be the only light avalible to guide you. Dangerous, but your best shot to finding a way out. The atmosphere alone was not pleasant, seemingly screaming at you to stay away.
But you're not the one to back down from an adventure.
Ah, I gave it my best shot. I got this idea out of the blue, and I'm not honestly sure whether or not to continue it. Maybe if I ever get in a mood again.
