Hey everyone! This is my first blog, and to start, I want to speak of something commonly seen on the web. So, you're just happily scrolling the internet, when you see someone saying this, "omg i just failed a math test cause i'm so epic #YOLOSWAG" or "just killed loads of noobs on COD #Swag".
If you have a bit of OCD like me when reading things online, you will notice many things wrong with these sentences. A lack of capitalization, punctuation, and basically grammar in general. In my opinion, both sentences look silly. They look like they were written in a few seconds by people attempting to look "cool". But is it actually cool to use little to no grammar, or plaster #YOLO or #Swag to the end of every sentence? To me, not really. All it shows is that you are not really trying, and that you are trying to fit in with the "popular" crowd of the internet. This causes wonder. How could you be trying, but not trying at the same time? My guess is that people who consider themselves cool on the internet think they don't even have to try. This isn't true.
I'll give an example. On a prison server I play on, you can make applications for Guard. I was once reading all the applications when I noticed something intriguing. Only applications with reasonable grammar and politeness seemed to be accepted, the people becoming new, cheery guards. Applications with one word sentences, terrible grammar (I don't mean to offend anyone! I do not mean anyone in particular), and in additional info something along the lines of "I didn't assume I was going to sign up for guard but YOLO!" look as though they weren't even noticed by the administrators. I wish they would give these people a chance, no matter how annoying they seem in their application, but sometimes it just doesn't work that way.
In my opinion, I believe that people shouldn't be judged just because of their typing style, but sometimes it's just a little tiring to go on a social media site and see the words "YOLO" nearly everywhere and in every context, or People Typing Like This (Well, we should Type Like This For Titles, But It Is Not Needed For Everything). So, for this blog I just basically wanted to say that honestly grammar doesn't have to be perfect, and that people don't deserve to judge others for it, but that sometimes typing in what is considered "normal" and using common sense is the best way to go.

What is your opinion on people always typing #Yolo or #Swag? Do you do it yourself? (I admit, I have YOLO'ed a few times jokingly :3)
