"Ugh..."
The moan escaped Pinky's lips before she could stop it. The sun was well up into the light blue sky, way above the clouds. Em was sitting next to Pinky, staring into space, swaying slightly as if the gently breeze ws rocking her back and forth. Tear marks stained her cheeks and her eyes were red.
Flo was lying on the ground, trying to eat her last muffin, but she couldn't swallow properly and gave up, lying on a backpack and falling into a nightmare. Her cheeks were tear-stained too. Tango wasn't crying, but she was, too, staring into space, with no expression passing her face, not a flicker of sadness, happiness, anger, nothing. Matt was leaning against a tree, his bow balanced, limp, in his hand. He was looking around, as if slightly bewilderd, except Pinky could almost feel the sadness radiating off everybody present.
Em finally moved her head, and saw that Pinky was awake.
"What's wrong?" Asked Pinky, looking around. She did a headcount. One, two, three, four, five...
"Where's Kyla?"
Pinky sat up quickly and turned a nasty shade of green. Em cried out, in a high-pitched voice,
"Sit down! You'll pass out again! You musn't overexert yourself!"
Pinky sat down immediately under Em's load tone of voice.
"Tango?" She asked, looking over at her.
Tango looked up and sighed.
"Kyla... she's...well... not from this planet. She has powers. She saved us all and... ran. I guess she tried not to reveal herself. She helped us, but she... she might have thought we wouldn't accept her anymore," Tango's eyes filled with tears, "But... the thing is, Herobrine's out there. If we don't find her..." Tango's voice dropped an octave, "She'll be dead for sure."
Pinky stood up, pure anger in her eyes, crossing her face, passing through her like poison.
"No," she growled, "She won't. Wake Flo. We're going to find her."
"I'll do it." Piped up Matt, who had been silent the whole time. He leant foward and shook Flo, who stirred.
"Come on," he said, "We're going"
Em looked at Pinky. Her face was full of sadness. But suddenly...
"Come on," she said, "We can find her."
