How to create a basic skin for Minecraft.
Making the Skin
Okay, you should start by downloading a skin editor. I personally reccomend MCSkin3D. First, I reccomend you disable all layers except head. Then just work on the head, it's your head. So, once you are done making the head, scroll out and look at your work. If you are satisfied, we can move on. If not, go back and work on it some more. Now, if you think you should add something on the hat layer, do similar steps with it, but leave the head layer on underneath, as on an actual skin they usually go together. Now, if you are satisfied with that, and think they look good together, turn off both. Then, enable the torso and do similar steps you took with head there, then move onto arms. After arms, just do legs to finish up. Now, if you think the colors look bland, you should add some noise. If you want to add noise, select the Noise tool, and set it to about 10. Just color around with it a bit, and you're done.
What next
Now that you have made your skin, you should probably upload it to PMC. If you really like it, you can even set it as your own skin. It's your skin, do whatever you want with it!
