How to download a project!
Step One: Find your project! It doesn't matter which, as long as it has a download link.
Step Two: Click the download link on the project's page, and select "Save File" when a new window pops up. Make note of the name of the project file as well. A new tab should open. Select the "Download" button. From there, select "Save File". (Sometimes, Dropbox will say "Nothing Here". In that case, contact the project owner.)
Step Three: Open the "Downloads" section in your Folders, and find the project. (It'll be a Zipped file, and have the same name as the item you selected "Save File" for.)
Step Four: Open the "Start" menu and search for "%appdata%". A folder called "Roaming" should be the only result.
Step Five: Select the folder in "Roaming" called ".minecraft". Open the "Saves" folder. There will be the names of all your Singleplayer save files, but what you need is the bar to the left of the "Search .minecraft" bar. It should look like the URL bar in your internet browser. Right click on it, and copy the address.
Step Six: Go back to your "Downloads" folder, and right click the project files. Mouseover "7zip" and choose "Extract files...". Paste the link in the "Extract to:" bar, and you're all set.
Step Seven: Go back to "Roaming\.minecraft". A new folder will have appeared! You can now start up Minecraft and check out the build.
