What is PermissionsEx?

PermissionsEx Is a bukkit plugin that let's you create groups and manage them.

PermissionsEx is acctually a little harder version of GroupManager and you don't get basic groups.

So..

LET'S START!

How to begin?

When i set-up group manager, I first make the owner group in the console.

PermissionsEx Is pretty annoying in the beginning.

You can't do anything ingame if you just installed pex and didn't done anything with pex.

So first in the console you type:

pex group Owner create

Then you do:

pex group Owner add *


Then you can go work on the permissions ingame!

How to set pex up?

Now you have to start with the admin rank.

That's easier!

So now i do:

/pex group Admin create Owner

I put Owner there cause Owner inherits everything from admin then.

We first gonna make all groups, Then we'll do the permissions!

So i do this commands:



/pex group Admin create Owner
/pex group Moderator create Admin
/pex group Member create Moderator
And if you want that people first join as guest and they have to push a button or something. You make anther rank:
/pex group Guest create Member

How to setup permissions

Cause it's freaking hard to find out all the permissions.
I write all the commands you have to do:

/pex group member add essentials.tpa (To do /tpa)
/pex group member add essentials.tpaccept (To do /tpaccept)
/pex group member add essentials.tpdeny (To do /tpdeny)
/pex group member add essentials.spawn (To do /spawn)
/pex group member add essentials.warp (To do /warp)
/pex group member add essentials.sethome (To do /sethome)
/pex group member add essentials.home (To do /home)

This are some basic permissions.
With most plugins the permission nodes are:

This is the same with Moderator and admin!

Setting up a prefix and suffix!

Ofcourse.
You want people to know your owner.
So you have to give groups a prefix.
To make a prefix you do:
/pex group prefix [Prefix]

So if i want member to have a gray with green prefix i do:

pex group member prefix &7[&2Member&7]
