Most people start Hypixel SkyBlock and have no idea what to do. These series of posts are intended to fix that. This is the first of a tutorial series for Hypixel SkyBlock is to take you from punching your first log on SkyBlock to killing your first dragon. These posts are going to be laid out in three sections. 1: The introduction; 2: The body of the post; 3: The YouTube video. The introduction is going to stay very similar to the other blogs, the body talks about the entire tutorial, and the YouTube video is pretty self-explanatory (and each of these posts will be released after every SkyBlock videos, so every 1-2 weeks). With that over, let’s get into it!

I’m going to finish up the Village, then move on to farming. The current objective that we have is to talk to George the Pet collector, who is in a house at these coordinates in the Village; -72/70/52. There are also 3 other NPCs with him; Bea, Kat, and Zog. Bea sells Bee pets. Pets are creatures that follow you around and provide extra stats and abilities. You can level them up by getting skill XP while you have them selected. However, we won’t get too much into that at this point, as most pets are a little too expensive for the early game. Kat allows you to upgrade pets from one level to another, like common to uncommon, or epic to legendary. Zog sells pet items. Each pet can hold one item at a time, and you can replace that item at any time with another, but the previous item will disappear. The ones Zog sells are very expensive, so, again, don’t worry about it. Finally, George allows you to sell him pets. However, they are often rip offs, and you can usually get more by selling them on the auction house.

Now we’re going to go to the Carpenter house, located at these coordinates; -54/69/-85. He asks for a stack of wool to “replenish his stock”. I will show you how to obtain that later on. If you go down the stairs near the Carpenter, you will find an assortment of furniture which can be bought and the Carpenter’s apprentice, who tells you that he learns carpentry through crafting expensive items.

Time for farming now! The Farm is straight on to the right of the hub portal, at the following coordinates; 42/70/-135. There, you see a minion who looks very similar to the cobblestone minion from the first post, except it is dressed in yellow. This is a wheat minion. However, for some reason, the minions in the hub don’t produce wheat anymore, and I don’t know why. Now, we will talk to Arthur, who is right next to the wheat minion, and he tells you that his favorite upgrade is the compactor, which turns the items that minions produce into blocks, unless they are incapable of doing so. In the house in the middle, there is a cow and the Farmer. The farmer asks for 10 wheat for his sick cow which you can obtain from the wheat fields. Once you’ve done that, your next objective is to reach Farming Level 1. That can easily be done by destroying some more wheat.

Once you have Farming 1, then you can go to the Barn, at the portal behind the Farmer’s place. Once you reach the Barn, your objective becomes to talk to the Farmhand. He says that you can harvest any crops on the island, as he is on a break. He then asks if you’ve crafted a wheat minion yet, resulting in your new objective: Craft a Wheat Minion. It requires a stack and sixteen of wheat with a wooden hoe in the center. Once you’ve crafted it, you are prompted to talk to the Farmhand, who congratulates you, and says that he has his own tier ten wheat minion. He then gives you enchanted bread as a reward. Now your new objective is to collect potatoes, carrots, melon, and pumpkins. Once you’ve collected at least one of each, you are rewarded with 10 farming experience. The next objective is to collect leather, chicken, and pork, giving you 10 farming experience as a reward. Your next objective is to reach Farming V, which I decided not to do in the video, and that I’d do it later.

Now we’re going to go to the bank, which is a building that has a bunch of gold on top of it that’s behind the spawn portal. Once you enter it, your objective is to talk to the banker, who lets you know that you can leave your coins with him and earn interest on them. Once you talk to him, your objective becomes to deposit coins in the bank. You do that by right-clicking on the banker again, and an interface will show up. On the left, there is a chest, in the middle a dispenser, and on the right there is a map, which gives your history of deposits and withdrawals. There is also a redstone torch at the bottom that tells you the maximum balance you can hold in your bank and the amount of interest you will be getting and when. Now, we’re going to deposit coins. The chest on the left is labeled as “Deposit Coins”, and when you click on it, three more chests come up. The one on the left deposits all of your coins in your purse when you click on it, the middle one deposits half, and the one on the right brings up an interface which allows you to deposit a certain amount. Once you’ve deposited your coins, you get 10 more from the completed objective. To withdraw some of the coins that you deposited, you just right-click on the banker again and click on the dispenser, which will prompt you to either withdraw everything, half of everything, twenty percent, or a specific amount.

Now I’ll show you how to get back to your island. To do that, you can either enter the portal at spawn, or you can open your SkyBlock menu and right-click on the globe in the bottom-left hand corner. Once you’ve done that, you can now place down your wheat minion. However, it needs to have a clear 5x5 area of dirt or grass around it. This minion will now produce both wheat and wheat seeds. The seeds are only useful for the trades menu in your SkyBlock menu, which is the emerald in the center. Seeds will unlock more trades as you level up in the collection, but for now, I only have the seeds to dirt trade and the dirt to grass trade.

That’s it for this blog! In the next one, you will learn about the Foraging skill. If you liked this, leave a diamond on top, and if you want, watch the video below, subscribe to my YouTube channel, and leave a like. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
