Hello everyone! This is my first blog post so I figured I'd do something sweet and simple; how to tame an ocelot fast and easy!
I see a lot of people struggling to tame ocelots (my brother and sister, various friends on Tumblr's Minecraft server, heck, even Fawdz in his Shenanigans with SkitScape), so I'd tell you my 'secrets'. Most of the steps is probably things you've heard before. :P

Step 1;

Before you do anything, make sure you have raw fish in your inventory. I suggest 4-10 raw fish. Fish are obtainable through fishing in any body of water.

Step 2;

Find a jungle! Ocelots don't spawn anywhere else. After you find a jungle, locate an ocelot. Just keep searching around until you find one. Ocelots are like wolves and any hostile mob; they will despawn after you are away from them in a certain radius. DO NOT CHASE AFTER THE OCELOT ONCE YOU FIND IT. If you need to move closer, that is fine, but remember, ocelots will run away from you!

Step 3;

Hold the raw fish in your hand. Ocelots will not approach you unless you hold raw fish. After that, follow the ocelot. If the ocelot runs away, DO NOT run after it unless it is very far away. Walk slowly toward it. Once it turns to you, stop all movement. Do not move at all, not even to turn your head to look at the ocelot.

You can tell the ocelot is approaching you because it does what I called the "hunched over" look and it slowly moves over to you. The "hunched over" is easily spotted because the "shoulders" of the ocelot pokes out through its back.

Step 4;

Once the ocelot as returned to normal standing state, slowlymove the crosshairs on top of the ocelot. Feed it the fish until it turns into a tamed cat! (You can tell it has been tamed because it has changed colours and there are hearts appearing from it) If the cat is standing in a fern or in tall grass, feeding the fish will not work. You will either need to destroy the fern/tall grass or scare the ocelot again. Destroying the tall grass/fern is more than likely going to scare the ocelot anyways, so it's better just to scare the ocelot again and chase it down again.

Have fun with your new pet cat in Minecraft!

You don't need to crouch to feed the ocelot. I've done it various times without crouching once. Usually people crouch when they're approaching the ocelot, but it doesn't help nor harm the attempt on taming an ocelot.
