Huts | Chapter 1

Frea, a small girl around the age of 6 wandered through the forest.
It was near her house so her parents were fine with it as long as she was in view of them. But today she felt adventurous and decided to dive deeper into the scenery.
Her skin was covered in mud and her feet covered in grass from the wet ground.
In between the trees she saw a small orb of light, it was blue and it shun brightly in her direction.

Frea moved cautiously towards the orb, gripping onto the trees while she walked, as if there was no ground beneath her.
Currently, she was almost right next to it when it had been swept off into the darkness of the forest. She spun her head around trying to find the orb once again and came to no avail.
But as she turned her head back she spotted a large cabin, it had oak wood logs scattered on the outside of the house and it was built from wooden planks, probably from those whoever lives there had cut down.

Frea stepped forwards and took a closer look at the cabin, and the orb appeared once more, in front of her, leading her to the cabin. She lifted her hand to touch the orb and a burning sensation filled her hand as her hand moved closing, causing her to pull it back in pain.
Now she wasn't sure whether to follow it, would it hurt her again?
She backed off slightly, into a tree. She slid around the tree and returned to her previous spot, watching as the orb moved closer to her, her eyes began to swell with tears, what was it going to do to her?
She closed her eyes and felt the tears roll down her chubby cheeks. She reopened them to see the orb still in place, where it had spotted her before, waiting.

Frea turned her head to her house, to see her mother in the kitchen looking through the window, she waved slightly and returned to washing her dishes.
Frea backed away again and sprinted back to the brick house.
She would wait, and see if it stayed.
