I can't think of anything to write today.
It's odd but my mind is fog,
And I have no light to guide myself home.
I have reached an impass;
A sheer cliff's edge is blocking me.
I remember a dwindling bridge somewhere.
However, it is nowhere to be seen.
My arms are limp at my side.
Now my legs have turned to sand.
My thoughts race around my shrinking head.
My heart jumps at every noise in the woods.
I hear wolves howling, smelling my fears.
If I do not leave soon, they will tear me apart.
I see the sun slowly rise above the horizon.
My strength slowly seeps back into my body.
Soon I will leave this terrifying jungle,
Crawling if I must to the comfort of home.
It calls me forward every moment,
Away from all this quiet chaos.
It calls me into the good light.
Its golden warmth must be just ahead.
I cannot see it, but faith shows itself in all darkness.
Yes, I am sure! Life waits for me out of this dark forest.
Either way, I am still trapped in this defiant place.
When will the thunderclouds stop shaking the ground?
The wolves draw closer and closer.
Still I am running towards the old birdge,
The only way to reach sanctuary.
I have no idea what will become of my mind once I am gone.
But for now, I cannot of think of anything to write today.
