Java Background Processes?

Sometimes, my Minecraft goes from 100 FPS all the way down to 6-10 FPS. I always, always found it really, really annoying! If this happens to you, i found a possible cause. Sometimes there would be a background process under the same name as Minecraft, except, in the background processes section. It randomly shoots up to 30-90% CPU usage and causes all other programs to lag. That program (who know whatever that is for) is safe to close! So, when you close it nothing happens and your Minecraft will be good to go! If it is still lagging, then it must be a different problem that you can find a fix for elsewhere.
