This time we talk to Aurelien_Sama, popular map maker.
1. When start playing minecraft and why?
I first started playing Minecraft in March 2011. My classmate show me the game and proposed me to join his server.
2. When and why did you start making custom terrain?
The very first terrain I made was by hand, in july 2011 I think.
I made it because I needed a special terrain to build an asian temple on my solo map.
3. Why do you like making custom terrain?
I'm very creative and for me terraforming ( with voxel sniper ) is a little bit like painting which I really liked the first time I tried voxel.
Futhermore, for me,a good terrain is an important base for any builds that's why i've trained my skills at voxel and made Reichi island.
4. Which map that you yourself made is your favourite?
Tropica Islands
5. What is your favourite custom terrain that someone else has made?
The voxel box custom terrain are amazing even if I don't have my hands on.
6. What do you do when you actually play Minecraft?
I build a lot on the Eventime server and also some teraforming.
7. Why did you join PM?
PM has a great community and a good visibility in the Minecraft comunity. That's why I choose it.
8. What do you think of Notch/Mojang?
Without Notch I wouldn't be able to write to you and also play this much time on a game like Minecraft, so I'm grateful for what he has done. I also really apreciated what mojang is and I think jeb_ is doing a great job job on minecraft, espicialy when you see the jungle biome.
9. Why do you think you've been so successful? (You can brag about your mad skills)
I don't really know, maybe it's just because i've proposed good finished maps that look realistic.
10. Is there anything else you'd like to say (This is the last question, so if there is anything else you'd like to say, say it now).
I would just say one advice for all the people that made terrain, the melt brush is really powerful, so don't use it too much.
