Mob Profiles: The Enderman
Greetings humanoids, Zoralink here, with a new series of blogs: Mob Profiles! We already know the current mobo s strengths, weaknesses, dangers etc. But do we really know them on the inside? No. And that is what the new series, Mob Profiles, will be looking into.
Endermen-We love em, we hate em. But they areno t really hostile. They are really just passive, shy beings who just want to share their blocks with us. But they warn us in Mobeese (The secret language of all mobs) not to look into their eyes. When you look in their eyes, a deep emotional response hidden far within their brains is triggered. They start to go berserk, and usually a player is lost to their rampage.

Endermen are old, old as time itself. Since the beginning, they have inhabited this world of Minecraftia. But one day, a human by the name of Notch came to this beautiful, green world, and claimed it for Man. In doing so, he inadvertently triggered a hidden wormhole that ripped the fair land of Minecraft apart, into three dimensions: The hellish Nether, the beautiful Overworld, and the dark and gloomy End. The Endermen were sucked into the End, and humans inhabited the Overworld. The Nether has its own story, but that is for another time. The ruins and temples left over in the Overworld are the remains of the once-great Enderman race.

In A.D. 1.8, a foolish human named Steve came across one of the Strongholds of an ancient race. He ventured past the spawners and traps, till he reached a structure full of eyes. Suddenly, Steve was tugged through whatever the thing was, and landed in a dark, eerie aether. As he walked through the dark island, he noticed more and more eyes appearing out of the gloom. Aware he was being followed; he drew his sword and ran toward one of the pairs of eyes, yelling as he did. But the eyes disappeared, and then reappeared in another place. Steve drew his bow, steadied it, and locked on to the nearest pair. He exhaled, and was about to fire when the eyes vanished. Startled, Steve looked around, and then came face to face with a tall, dark being. He panicked, and fired straight at its glowing eyes.
The creature howled in pain, eyes dripping with End particles. Steve recoiled, and slipped backwards. As Steve fell from the End into the dark, cold Void, the Endermano s death scream echoed around the inky blackness of the End of all things, and all the Endermen shared in the experience. Endermen have a hive mind, allowing them to see into each othero s brains. The death of the Enderman has not yet been forgotten by them, and traveling through rifts in the fabric of space-time to our world. They meant no harm, but all are roused by the memory of a humano s face, and the pain that follows.
Now, whenever an Enderman sees a humano s eyes, the residual memory is triggered. The Enderman senses the pain of the first ever Enderman to meet a human, and goes mad. But they are shy creatures, avoiding humans whenever possible, and all they want is their old dimension back.
