Basically anyone who is reading this who can make mods I am asking you to make a mod that just adds a loading bar for when you are creating a world or loading one up. The reason I ask this is especially when I am using mods while creating a new world the game just sits on the converting world text. I mainly want this mod to let me and other people know if the game is doing something and we just need to be patient or if it is just sitting on its bum being stupid.

Since I'm definitely not a genius at modding, the changes I have to make in Java can be kind of confusing. Mojang made a lot of the code work differently, and I don't know if these changes were needed and are helpful or just added for no reason. Anyways, the easiest thing able to do is make the loading bar appear in the world generating screen, server loading screen, etc., but the tricky thing is to get the loading bar to move, let alone move while telling you how much of the world has generated. It won't move at all, though I did figure out how to set the percentage that the still bar stays at. I've explored the code for a long time, and it only gets more confusing.
I've tried copying the code from 1.2.5 that makes the loading bar work into 1.6.2, but it only made a lot of errors because, since so much of the code was changed (and I don't mean just adding stuff like horses, they redid how loading bars work and took out some things it needs in order to show up), a ton of the 1.2.5 code is becoming incompatible with it. I look at the code and see missing features, errors, and sometimes stuff that just doesn't work in which java gives no explanation for the crashes I get. Of course, I tried adding some of that missing stuff back in, but it fills my screen with like 60 more errors! I mean, what the hell?!
I did figure out, however, how to make the bar constantly move, but change to random percentages. So until I figure out what to do, I can make it so that the bar appears and just goes up random percentages. It won't be accurate, but it can help if you want the nice feel of the bar back and it may help if you want to know if you're game crashed from a mod.
