So the guys from Mojang have been working hard on adding more stuff to the game. The question is - is this good for the players who are just starting to play the game?

Probably not because with all these new updates for redstone and command blocks are just going to put off players that are new to the that whole principle.

How many times have you heard people say : "I have stoped working with redstone after the comparators and command blocks have been added, its just too much at once." ?

Personaly I hear that a lot. For me it isnt that hard because I have worked with redstone a long time and followed the updates and practiced.

But for an average player that just wants an automatic farm of some kind or something, those things will just make them stop trying. Especialy now when they nerfed the Gold and Iron Farms.

I built those farms because I was tired of all the mindless caving and wanted to put my time into some work that will improve my world and make it fun.

And one more thing - Simplicity!
I would rather they worked on the game design, small simple things that would make the game 10 times better, enough of the complicated stuff. The new biomes are really cool and one of the reasons that I started a new world (and the fishing is much better).

New mobs would be a better update than the updates that they are doing now. Maybe even some new structures other than temples, and special mobs that spawn in those structures, so many ideas..

That is it for now!

I agree with you 100%. Minecraft's simple concept is what got the attention of millions of players, but now it just seems like too much. I think more people would like to see things such as new mobs, better villages, content fixed, instead of new blocks and such (the new blocks like granite don't fit the look of the game imo). The game is starting to becoming a bit too complicated.

I agree that the big updates might put off some potential players ,but as for redstone, you don't have to use the new stuff like commands blocks and comparators. So I don't think many people would stop using redstone just because of those things.

I agree- some of the things are getting out of hand like with redstone. I've never been good at that, but now with all these newfangled pieces to that, the learning curve is much steeper now. I do like the new biomes, and I think it would be cool for a few new mobs, but there are some things I think we could have done without... I personally don't use some of the blocks (sponge, gold/iron/emerald/diamond/coal/rs blocks, etc), and can't see them adding much else without it making the game too complicated.
