My Channel is being Demonitized (YouTube is Killing Small YouTubers!)

YouTube sent out emails to their partners this morning saying that they are demonetizing channels under 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time.

YouTube is going to be demonetizing both of my YouTube channels in 30 days and I honestly feel like crying, I have put 5 years of hard work into this channel and I feel like YouTube has just given me a slap and a middle finger.

I have tried my best to rebrand, optimise and improve my channel as much as I can and now it almost feels like I’ve done all of that for nothing. Being a YouTuber isn’t about money, I have struggled with money my whole life but a little bit of money from YouTube every year helps a lot when you don’t have a full time job.

Ah, I found this while scrolling through your page.
While you do make a fair point, and it does seem fairly ridiculous in a certain mindset, it can also be taken in a different way. We could always call people greedy, but that’s the nature of humans. I think YouTube did this, not to earn more money, but to stop people who aren’t too serious about YouTubing from earning cash just because they put up a stupid video onto YouTube, slapped a clickbait title, and started earning clicks, but don’t actually get subs. While there are great small youtubers, like you, I believe it might be, at least, helping the people who put effort and care into their career, make more of an investment. Sorry if this sounds a bit rude, just tossing an idea out there xD

Yes, I understand where you are coming from but I know a lot of small YouTubers like myself that are not getting the recognition that they deserve; I have the watch time, I don't have the subscribers; which is why I was demonetized. This whole situation is quite ironic as well, considering that YouTube has been like the Paul's and other YouTuber who constantly violate the YouTube terms and yet YouTube does nothing about it or they make up some kind of excuse.Also,

But if they did something to stop those famous youtubers, millions would be extremely angry, not benefiting anyone. This isn't virtually about the terms of service, or anything like that. It's about how people who just don't have enough viewers or subs aren't able to make money off of youtube.

This whole situation is about adsense - YouTube are kicking out small YouTubers because we aren't making them enough adsense money and all of this is because YouTube was putting ads next to videos that break the YouTube terms and conditions (YouTube Adpocolypse) - the new terms do make sense but a lot of small YouTubers like me have been partnered for more than four years and we have been working for it but we still don't get the visibility we deserve on YouTube.

Don't mean to be rude but if you've still got less than 1000 subs after five years maybe you should've put some time into getting a full time job then you wouldn't have money troubles. The small amount of money you'd get from a channel of that size is probably less than a days work, just saying.

I was in University for 5 years, doing work experience and I had an internship for three months - I've been looking for a full time job since March 2017. I've always treated YouTube as apart time job; don't assume that I've been doing nothing for the last five years and that it's easy to get a full time job.

Hello everyone sorry that I haven't replied to any of your comments, an Admin gave me a temp ban because I got unwhitelisted from a Miinecraft server with stupid strict rules last year; I'll reply to your comments now and thanks for all of the support and understanding.

I'm pretty young. And I only upload minecraft skin tutorial videos. I have 19 subs. The thing is, I haven't gotten any 'money' yet. And I don't want any. My parents defiantly haven't gotten any e-mails ... So.
