My Story

Hello Planet Minecraft, I have a funny story to tell all of you, which I hope you enjoy.

Recently, I started my own Minecraft server, which was not my first. I've had about three bukkit servers in the past, and all of them were successful towards the technical side in my opinion, I've been coding, administering and other sorts of jobs related to ownership of a server for awhile.

But, this is where my story begins. As I mentioned earlier, I started another server recently; Which is a bukkit server. We had the server up, and before we started building we decided to knock out some plug-ins first. After installing Bukkit, and a ton of plug-ins and configuring them, adding permissions to PermissionsEx, we realized something was wrong. We couldn't figure it out for awhile, so we searched the internet for our problem, but no solutions. The problem was our plug-ins weren't working, and I knew there was nothing with our Configs after checking them three times each, so what else was wrong?

The answer was our Bukkit version. This may be a nooby mistake, but I have installed Bukkit and plugins correctly tons of tons before with my other servers, and this dumbfounded me when I found it out, such a simple mistake and fix could cause such a delay and annoyance! Once I found out what happened, I felt embarrassed to discuss it with my other server owner friends, but I eventually told them and we all had a good laugh about it.
