Today I am writing a blog just to get some of my thoughts out there, so not for any real reason. Well, there sort of is. The other day I saw a post where someone was complaining about the moderators being too slow responding to reports. What had happened was this: for some reason a blog simply advertsing a server had made it onto the popular reel. Now, how that blog managed to find it's way onto the reel is unknown to me, as it only had 56 views, 5 diamonds and a server that one could not connect to, as it had a lan adress. I assume the uploader had persuaded their friends to diamond it, or had simpy used multiple accounts to diamond it.

Anyway, that was the situation with the blog that had been reported. Now the forum topic was simply someone complaining that they had reported it and yet a short while later it was still on the reel. They complained the moderators were too slow and then began insulting the people who tried to explain why it was still there.

This is the kind of post one can see alot of, if one searches the forums. People seem to forget that all moderators are volunteers. We should be thankful that they get as much done as they do. Some people would simply ignore reports, as they were not being paid to check them. I am posting this to remind people that the mods ar epeople with lives too and cannot simply spend all their time checking reports, meaning sometimes it can take longer to deal with reports than some people are happy with. So next time you're planning to complain about something involving the moderators, stop and think about the fact that they are only human.
