Hey all snakeonthebus here with another blog! I recently got the scoop on the new update. Ok, here's the thing. I won't be able to put up a full list of what is to come in the next major update (For fairly an obvious reason: the official list hasn't yet been released to the public[as far as I know]. Don't yell at me if it has! Tell, don't yell, please.) However, I have heard a few things from a few reliable sources--AKA YouTube--and I can tell you in the next update, the masses of Minecraft will be able to change their usernames! You heard it second or third here, folks! That's right, YOU will be able to change your name from Master_of_Potatoes to Something_Awesome. Actually, both names are pretty sweet. If your name is Master_of_Potatoes, well done, sir/madam.
Anyways, I personally will not be changing my Minecraft username. snakeonthebus is pretty cool. But if you feel the need to do so, then go ahead. I mean, it is free! Making things free does make certain unnecessary items appear necessary doesn't it? Ahem. Sorry...trailing again.
You may be wondering, "But, snake, hold up, man! What if two or more people have the same name in the new update." Well, I'm glad you asked that, bro. I'm here to tell you, if you want to change your name it still must be original.
"Ok, thanks snake, but what if a guy gets banned from a server and changes his original name to a different original name? Will a brother be able to slide on back into the server?!" Another good question. Thing is with this update the system will recognize the same person no matter what he changes his name to. Your server is safe. THE CAKE IS A LIE!
Now, I've heard that wasn't going to be the only new big thing. I imagine they will also get rid of Herobrine (again). I've heard a rumor or two that our friends in the control center will be adding in a lovely new, shining friends list AND a messaging system. Also, Minecraft Realms is going to get some love, making it even easier for the average joe to make a server.
Oh, and let's not forget about the shading! That's right you nit-picky players out there! Super Secret Settings is getting a boost!
There is a good chance, too, that Mojang will make the End more interesting. Likely, changing the actions of the Ender Dragon, but I can't confirm that for sure.
That's pretty much it. Of course, there will be lots of bug fixes and such. I am curious, though, what do you guys want in the next update?
