How to increase your Minecraft performance.


Step One

Open up the new Minecraft Launcher

Step Two

On the top right corner of the launcher hit the "Edit Profile" button

Step Three

Hit the checkbox next to "JVM Arguments:" and to the right of the text change the -Xmx1G to whatever gigabytes you want to run Minecraft.

EX:If you want to run Minecraft with 3GB you'd change -Xmx1G to -Xmx3G.

Note:you can't put more memory than what your computer has.

Step Four


Hit the "Save Profile" button on the bottom right and you're good to go!

I think you should try installing a mod like optifine or try getting a better graphics card.

You don't. Most graphics cards are meant for desktops. If you manage to find one, (there are still some out there), you will need to take apart the "frame" on your laptop, which means you need to unscrew the keyboard and replace the graphics card. This work is left to computer pros, so do so with caution or bring it to a nearby computer store.

There are better ways to reduce lag though. See my blog on my profile for tips. (Sorry Nuclear_pie for advertising)
