What? Why cant i see any pictures on PlanetMinecraft?
I mean no disrespect when I say this but PlanetMinecraft really does have some issues that need to be open to the public. Like for example, we can now NOT see any of the pictures on PlanetMinecraft.
But not like we have all had issues before, like yesterday for me PMC would hardly load on my computer (My computer IS a decent computer with a fast internet connection). Sometimes even PMC is DOWN. Not working. Or down for maintenance?
PlanetMinecraft is a source of information as well as a community with tonnes of ideas, creations, blogs and ofcourse a forum. But how can we use these tools if we can't:
Another problem is the servers that PMC are running on that sums all this mess up. Lets get this straight, They are crap. The're not BAD servers but they could be better. HOW? if they actually accept donations they could afford a decent Server host and much more.
Have a look at "www.minecraftforum.net" They have Quality servers, thus run allot smoother. I'm NOT saying they are better, i am saying the servers they run on are better.
Lets say we have a copy of all PlanetMinecraft's downtime records and the minecraftforum.net's, i'd be willing to bet that PlanetMincraft has the most Downtime since the start of the site.
If any moderators of PlanetMinecraft read this blog and delete it, i would say you are denying freedom of speech. Again I do not mean any disrespect.

In other news, I can't really speak much for the downtime as I don't know the cause of each time myself, but I do know that it is being worked on, Cyprezz is looking for many of the causes of issues with the site such as the images not loading and the downtime, and looking for the fixes/putting them into effect. The downtime earlier was pretty much caused by DDoS. Something to be said about the MCF servers being better, they are indeed better, but you also have to remember that they are the "official" forums of minecraft and as such have large sponsors backing them where as this site is pretty much run by ad revenue by someone who works a full time job aside from PMC. As a result of this the site doesn't really have the funds to have as great of servers as MCF, but we try to work with what we do have,
As for removing the blog, I see no reason to do so, if we had a reason we would remove it, freedom of speech would not protect you from the rules, if you were in fact breaking the rules. it infuriates me that so many people hide behind freedom of speech trying to say we remove things simply because we hate them. We remove things because they break the rules, not simply because of personal opinion differing with that of the owner of a post.
Accepting donations would help soo much. if i could donate i would donate a $100 a month
