What has this minecraft community come to lately? Is it really about Minecraft creations, mods etc. or are certain people or even the community turning it into a popularity contest based on pointless blog posts that aren't even relevant or the least bit interesting? Take my last two blog posts for example, I'm pretty sure these encompass the reality of 90% of the blogposts that make front page that aren't the updates of a legitimate content creator (mod,art etc.) Taking these as a sample, and even just so that I can criticize the reality without offending anyone in particular...whats the point of my posts? What was PMC or even the Minecraft community missing before my posts were written? Absolutely nothing I tell you! I wrote like three paragraphs about people getting diamonds because they asked for them...and it was truly pointless. Everyone thought this before. At least everyone should have. It's called common sense, and this is something we all thought of because well...it makes sense. Should someone necessarily get diamonds because they ask? No...and nobody thinks otherwise. Why feel it necessary to spark discussion then? Why did I get front page for something that was truly...pointless?

I of course cannot start calling out names...or blogs that got front page etc. But I'm pretty sure you all know what I'm talking about. And if you don't, then I'm starting to question whether or not you as a reader even holds an ability to judge reading material. Most people have something called a 'filter.' It's a little voice at the back of your head that warns you when somethings is just...well...stupid.

So what do you think? Do you really think that in a place like this there's room for pointless blogs that have little actual point otherwise besides getting diamonds and views...which they seem to get regardless for some reason? There are many other beautiful projects on this site that go under appreciated while some 3 paragraph load of garbage that took someone 10 minutes to type up steals front page. Just a thought. Don't you think that the blog posts people really care about such as artist updates, dev updates etc. should be the sole point of what I want to see on my front page?
