Portal Delta
It was time. Alcatraz drew his Portal Gun. Two shots is all it would take to get out of these crumbling ruins. Behind him, glass shattered. The Orange Portal blazed to life with a whirr. Zombies groaned heavily. A Wither Skeleton threw its sword, landing inches from Alcatraz’s head. The Blue Portal twinkled on. Alcatraz prayed. And jumped.
Explosions sounded in the distance, as Creepers blew up the remains of the Nether Fortress. But Alcatraz wasn’t around to hear it.
Huffing, a figure clad in black popped out of the Orange Portal. The Portal spluttered, and disappeared. Alcatraz noted to thank PotatoChun and his team later. Switching to his Gravity Gun, he fired a giant shockwave. The cave rumbled, pieces of Netherrack falling down. The walls seemed to vibrate with a shockwave worthy of an god. A giant rock fell from the ceiling, moving ever so slowly toward Alcatraz, taunting him to death. “Not this time”. In one fluid motion, he fired two Portals, both brimming with coloured light. For the second time in five minutes, he prayed. And jumped.
Alcatraz’s momentum increased as he went through the Portal. Once he fell through, he was travelling at 144 m/s. A fall at this speed would kill a normal person. Except he wasn’t a normal person. Managing to blurt out “Delta”, Alcatraz’s bionic legs activated, springs clicking into place. BAM! A crater formed where Alcatraz’s body lay. All which was visible was a red visor glinting in the darkness…
Three hours later, Alcatraz woke up. Luckily Alcatraz was wearing his NanoSuit. Had he not have, he would have fractured several ribs and his skull. Slowly getting up, the operative felt the NanoSuit self-repairing itself, patching up all of the loose nanofibers ever so quickly. Checking his wrist, Alcatraz realised that his NanoSuit was draining his EU quite quickly. Crap! He maybe had enough juice for another three minutes. Then, he would succumb to Nether Cramps. Finally, he would die, not completing his mission. He would have failed Aperture Science’s goal. But he wouldn’t give up yet. Grabbing his Laser-Sight M4A1 Colt, Alcatraz trudged on.
A Zombie Pigman heard steps approaching him. Pigmen were men bound by honour: they did not attack unless provoked. He carried on with his daily grunting. He never saw the blade coming; the Zombie Pigman had no chance to retaliate.
“‘least my Nano Saber’s got juice” muttered Alcatraz. Taking the Pigman’s Golden Sword, he walked on to the next Lava Island. He was looking for some Obsidian. A specific formation of Obsidian…
