Pointless Fact of the Day: The images for the tutorial are all watermarked very lightly (except the watermarks cont. one since it was made later).

Well you can always use free programs like GIMP and paint.net(I started out with paint.net) before or instead of getting photoshop, which is about $700(unless you get student edition or on sale).

Dude, one problem now...
Skin thieves will now look for, and erase watermarks. Dx

Most skin thieves still won't bother, either they will be to lazy or won't read this blog anyways. Thieves that are good at what they do can remove almost all watermarks, photoshop even has a special delete ability to easily remove them.

True, like Skindex for example, you don't edit the real image, you edit the skin model.

Ok, i was reading this, and i like all of it, but it doesnt really apply to me since no one likes my work anyway ): well, not no one, but... i dont know. anyway, i dont feel like someone would steal my stuff, but i totally agree with what you said about paint. IT SUCKS. They could at least support transparency! then it would be ok-ish. but i use paint.net so its all good. Anyway, thanks!!!

Keep practicing and you'll get better, at least you know not to use paint, unlike some of pmcs members. YW and Thanks!

ok, thanks. i try hard, with lots of redstone, but i cant make the complicated redstone timers or stuff like that. i dont really need them, but i wish i could get some sort of feedback. i have enough dowloads, about 350 on 1 project, but only 1 diamond from someone i dont know. (one was me, one was my friend), and the comments say nothing about what to improve. ): anyway, thanks!

You should probably put something in about having a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivs License, as they are free and very helpful. I personally use them and think that they are really great. Love the blog by the way, very helpful! Thanks!

Thanks! I do have a part about the creative commons, though it doesn't mention any licenses by name. I might put in a list of them later. The Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivs License is the one I use as well!

Yeah, I really feel like that is probably one of the best ways to deter people from taking stuff, as that is actually a license. And also because it looks official!

After the popular blog on stealing skins and such, this is a really good place to go.

I don't think I've seen the blog you're talking about, though I have seen more than one blog about skin stealers. I have an addition for the watermarking section specifically for skins, texture packs, and projects that I'm going to add soon. Thanks for commenting!

It would be great if more people read this. It would probably cut down the amount of projects, textures, skins, and blogs stolen on pmc. More-so textures and skins, but a lot of projects and blogs are stolen also. Great post! Diamond!
