Heh, if you've read my blog that I wrote before this, you probably know that the blog section isn't going to die anytime soon, but that doesn't mean there are things that can't be fixed about it. One thing that grinds my gears (family guy reference) is the people who post things that should be in the forums in the section we hold so dear, the blogging section.
Some of you are probably like, "What the hell is Char talking about?" Well I'll give you an example. Recruitment. I've seen people recruiting for tekkit servers, staff, and who knows what else here in the blogging section. C'mon. No one wants that here. It's not a blog.
And probably the worst. Have you ever looked up in the box above the editing page? The grey box? Yeah, well it says "Questions. Post them in the forums." And then people post tons of things saying, "i belive in hero brine duz u?" In the forums that is acceptable, but not in the blogging section. All you are doing is hurting yourself and making other people dislike you. Stop.
Spam is awful, too. I wrote a rant about it a little while back. Usually spam is because they couldn't reach the character limit. "Spam to meet minimum character limit. If you can't naturally meet the limit, it's not a blog." Sound familiar? It's up in the grey box, also. You gotta read that. If you can't post it because of too little characters...
DO: POST IT IN THE FORUMS
DO NOT: POST IT IN THE BLOGGING SECTION WITH TONS OF SPAM!
It's just unnecessary.
And advertising. C'mon. This has to be the most obvious. Why would you even write an advertisement in the blogging section? No one wants to look at it, it's in the grey box, and it makes yourself look dumb. The forums is the place for advertising, and if you are advertising a server do it in the server section and possibly the server hall part of the chat.
Hmm, maybe this will open the eyes of the people who don't do it? I hope so. I really do.

If you have ever wondered that spam blogs might have decreased... They haven't. There are just some people who excessively report these spam blogs.
