[Rant] Why do people hack?

In my opinion, hacking is just completely stupid. It's for the people who can't PvP, and who can't build without it. "But it helps me" Yeah. You obviously can't use world edit without hacks. What do you guys think about it? Do you think that Mojang should try to prevent these clients? If so, how? What would they do? Do they even care? I don't think so.

The people who hack don't care about the server or it's players. They don't necessarily do it to help them play but sometimes just to be malicious and upset/aggravate the server staff. Unfortunately minecraft, along with many other games on all platforms, are full of these malicious players whose only intentions are to cause people grief and upset.
